Valentine’s Hickory or Hickory, as we call him, is bright and curious and quite the character. His sire is Hickory Holly Time AQHA, whose lifetime earnings are over$191,025. He was the 2015 Open Hackamore World Champion, the 2014 Open Derby Champion and 2015 Open Stallion Stakes Res. Champion and in 2013 he was the Intermediate Open Futurity Champion in the NRCHA.  In 2018 Hickory Holly Time won the World’s Greatest Horseman Challenge. with super scores in reining, the herd and down the fence!

As his son, our Hickory is eligible for the Breeder’s Invitational, NCHA Super Stakes, NRBC, NRCHA Stallion Stakes, and the NRHA Sire and Dam Program. Hickory’s sire and dam are both 5 panel N/N and he does not carry any genetic diseases. His dam, SMARTLITTLEVALENTINE, has earned over $20,000 in NRCHA monies and has scored a 74 down the fence. Valentine is a two time APHA Reserve World Champion in Working Cow Horse.  She is an own daughter of the great JR Red Diablo, Super Stakes Champion and earner in excess of $168,847 in NCHA and APHA Reserve Champion in Cutting. He is the son of the great COLOR ME SMART. Valentine is the daughter of a double bred Doc’s Stinger producing mare. We are excited about the future of her foals….especially Hickory. 

Hickory is in training with EJ Laubscher.  Their highest reining score was 219.5 at the Western Derby in Scottsdale.  They are turning heads in the APHA World, as EJ and Hickory are featured circling a cow in the APHA Chrome Cash Award Ad that has appeared online, in the Paint Horse Journal and in The Reined Cow Horse News.  Rock Star Models!!!

In 2023, as a stallion, Hickory has frozen semen available.  For contracts, contact PPR.  Hickory will continue his show career in the NRHA Two Rein Division this year.
